In its tireless work to improve their community, Emanuel Church located in El Triunfo, San Miguel, and its community conducted a survey that identified the urgent need for housing in more than ten families. Most of the houses were made of plastic, adobe, mud and shell. The church, community and ENLACE worked in the review, approval, and design of new homes. From June 2012 to January 2013 ten houses were built benefiting 43 people. With this initiative the lives of these families were powerfully impacted, ensuring a safer future and decent housing, and strengthening existing relations between church and community.
